dear poeple
i am writing again on my journey and will reveal a tip of "the canadian".
Day 3
When I was in the union station I had no idea where i had to change my e-ticket into the trainticket, so i walked to the desk the middle of the station. The gentleman behind the desk told my that i had to go to the ticket desk. i checked in at the ticketdesk. During the conversation the gentleman began speaking dutch. I was shocked. When i got my ticket he told me where i had to leave my luggage and to check for the train.
At the desk for inchecking where told me that i have to repack my luggage, cause my bag doesn't fit in the compartment. i get an bag and went to repack. (The luggage i don't needed was taken along with the train to Jasper). After a wile waiting in the lounge we were invited to boarding the train. I thought in the lounge I was the only young fellow there, cause everyone looks like above 50 :P. (Later on the train it was not so bad as I thought.)
At the platform one of the stationcrew told my that my car (120)was more to the back of the train. I was standing at car 110 so i had a long way to the back:P. When i arrived finaly at my car, i were welcomed by a crewmember of the train. when i let my backpak in my "room" and the addentent (chantal)came to explaine about who to get my bed out of the wall^^.
i was invited to come have a drink in the rear doomcar. they where serving Champagne, so i took some coke. i met some nice fellow's Taylor and Chad from Winnipeg, Manitoba and later Johnny from London, Ontario. We talked all night long and had mutch of fun!! i went to bed arround 2:30. when i wake up the train were stops for the town Capreol, ON. later a freightliner was passing by.
the following day's I met more and more people. Like Janet and Marilyn, Taxes from the US. The most converstations were about where you came from and what you were doing on this train and where you where heading. As the day's passing by the people's around me find that my english were good, they can understand me good, well, i told them it could be better. Ones a woman told me that she didn't here my accent.
Day 4
At the afternoon of the day we stopt at Hornepayne, Ontario. It was a town you thought. if the train was not there, it would not exist. It was sunday, so no supermarket was open. we found a small store who was open and i wanted to try my creditcard. to my surprice the card worked, i was totaly happy :D.
day 5
in the morning we were at Winnipeg. we stopt here for 4 hours so the crew from toronto to winnipeg were heading for home and some new crew came untill vancouver. after winnipeg become the sight flat.The landscape was strewn with outstretched lands of farmers. here and there a bunch of empty road.
In the afternoon passed the provinceborder of Sasatchenewan.
and the landscape were all the same. sometimes some groeping houses. we arrived at Saskatoon at midnight.
Day 6
In the morning we were at the station Edmonton. here there were added 1 panoramacar, for the next part of the trip. the hole train were excited about the rocky mountains we are getting to see today. at madday we have seen a glimb of the rocky's. arround 1300 we were at the station of Jasper, what my filnal stop was for that day. i got of the train and thanks the attendent Joannie for her care. i went my way to the hotel and said goodbye to Marilyn and Janet, who i met on the train.
at the hotel i was broken and began to write at my blog. arround half past 11 i got to bed.

Ha die Joran,
Klopt het dat je om een uur of tien vanmorgen jouw tijd de dagen 3 tot en met 6 hebt ge-upload, omdat je in de trein geen internet hebt? Fijn idd dat je credit card werkte; dat moet een prettige geruststelling voor je zijn geweest!
En nu ben je in Jasper. Heb je hier een dag om vrij te besteden? En klopt het dat je straks per bus via Lake Louisiana je reis vervolgt? Of stap je in Jasper weer op de trein straks om je reis te vervolgen? Of stap je bijeen ander station weer in?
Uit je verhaal over de panorama-coupé maak ik op dat na Jasper nog een heel stuk Rocky's komt??? Ga je die in het volgende traject zien?
Nu je allemaal leuke contacten had gekregen vond je het misschien wel een beetje jammer om de trein te verlaten???
Een heleboel vragen van je ouwe moeder. Als je es zin hebt antwoord je misschien; of via mail?
Hoe dan ook, heel gezellig om te lezen over wat je allemaal meemaakt.

Leuk om te zien dat alles voorspoedig verloopt en dat je het goed naar je zin hebt. Je hebt natuurlijk al behoorlijk wat gezien maar er komt nu nog veel meer moois in de Rockies. Geniet ervan. Groet, Berry -
